Codeerguy - I've posted this on AVforums but I won't to minimise reflections but at the same time, have a little normality to the room. I think the signage needs to go as it acts like a mirror:
Half way there now and liking it so far. I already had the screen area blacked out so I'm now going for the side walls, rear and ceiling next. Got one side wall done and part of the rear recently and a bit of work still to be done. Added some other features too such as lighting and sound absorbing panels. I'm lucky enough that the room features 2 natural bass traps with the sloping ceilings and I've got 2 panels planned, 1 of which you can see in the pics (the red square on the sloped ceiling)
I've went for some red material as well, which is exactly the same as the black material for 2 reasons. To match with my red corner sofa and recliner chair and also just to break up the black a bit. I've also decided to keep some of the normal wall area which is painted grey as while a complete bat cave would be great for picture quality, I still want to retain some sort of normality in the room (granted, there is not much normality left anymore  )
I'm quite lucky that its a dedicated room and I can pretty much do what I want. At the screen area, I was able to have my av cabinets flush with the screen covered in voile so that they are practically invisible - quite like a cinema screen wall in that respect. The 3 feet of space behind the screen enables me to do this and this also means I could go acoustically transparent in the future if I fancy it and the funds allow.
So here is the progress so far:
