Hello everyone I am having a problem with my home theater set up. Let me first break down all of the components:
Yamaha RX-A710 Receiver
Definitive Technology ProSub 800 Sub
The Definitive sub has an automatic off feature. The problem is that unless the volume is turned up to a considerable volume, the subwoofer does not come on or will not stay on. Is there any way to set a very low threshold that will turn the sub woofer on and keep it on? It is very annoying to have the bass turn off in the middle of something because the volume was turned down. If it matters, my TV service provider is Directv and this occurs on all of my devices, including PS3.
Thank you for the help!

Your AVR's line level output setting should be around 0 or the same level as your mains. Either use the auto setup feature or use test tones and an spl meter to balance your system correctly. Check all your connections and make sure the sub's auto-switch is set to ON. If all else fails try changing the sub cable.
