How to turn Off USB port on Onkyo 3009?

Dear Fellow HT enthusiasts

I have recently acquired a USD fan as a cooling aid for my Onkyo 3009. It is the Thermaltake 23CS that was recommend in this forum.

It is connected to the rear USB port on the receiver and it does a great job in reducing the internal temperature.

However to my surprise the USD pro is powered even when the Receiver is turned off. Therefore the fan is always on.

So what I wanted to know is if there is any setting the will turn off power to the rear USB port when the receiver is turned off.

Thank you for your input.

do you have network standby or hdmi passthrough on? i believe you have to turn those off to get a full off for what you're asking. because of this, i went with a component cooler with a/c power supply on switched surge protector.

Yes. I have passthrough on so I can wathc TV without turning the receiver on. I will try turning those off and see if it works.

Thank you.

I am in the same boat but with the 809. I have network control enabled, when network control wasn't enabled the rear USB would lose power.
