What did you have in mind? Do you just need a geometry pattern? I'd think that most other common test patterns would still be usable, even if stretched.

I remember seeing one on this forum I think it was the Home Theater Brothers and it had color bars and circles and a grid pattern all in one, I wondered if its available on blu ray rolleyes.gif

That was a 720 pattern they borrowed from the HCFR site. If you want a true 1920 x 1080 anamorphic pattern, then use Paint and follow these steps (for W7).

  1. Open Paint > Properties > pixels.
  2. enter 1920 for width and 1080 for height
  3. You can now start drawing your pattern with single display lines for a 1080P projector.
  4. To make it anamorphic, you need to draw your circles as 300 x 400 pixel ovals. If you want to make them larger, you need to work off the height and times that by 0.75 to find the width.

You can create a PLUGE and grey scale steps (Ramps) to add to your pattern as well if you want.

If your PC has a HDMI out, you can connect to the projector (either direct or via your AVR) and use the window key + P to select "projector only". This will ensure that you map 1:1. If you duplicate, the projector feed will be what ever your PC monitor rez is and will use scaling resulting in a less sharp image.

Hope that helps

Awesome! Now if you want a sample of true anamorphic video at 1080P, you can see my Anamorphic Bees footage HERE Just make sure to select 1080P and allow a decent buffer smile.gif
