Why do these character's need to be excentric? Berringer looks like he's been partying with Gary Busey and Nick Nolte since Christmas. Are we looking at a real life intervention/rehab? Well we can all look forward to a lot more of Sharon's home life with Rusty and her ex. To quote from Raising Arizona: "It ain't Ozzie and Harriett", but it tedious to me.
Of course the letters will eventually be found. Probably after Rusty is kidnapped. Why else show them at all.
For the show as a transition from The Closer, I like that Sharon is more calm and collected than Brenda, but I do miss Brenda's angery outbursts. Maybe Sharon needs to eat some pepermint patties. I also agree that the producers/writers are tending to telegraph the endings. At least the tie ins make sense, but more investigation and less "Life with Sharon" would help.
