replacing a dlp screen question

No Screens from other brands or screens from other types (the WS models are CRT RPTV not DLP) will not work the Lenticular screen (the outside screen) needs to match the Fresnel Lens (the inside screen). The two are paired in optical properties.

Have you tried Mitsubishi Parts Department or a authorized service company or are you committed to DIY?

I replaced the fresnel screen on my 82" and got the part from SearsPartsDirect, though I could have gotten it from Mitsubishi at the same price.

If you download the service manual for your model, page 48 has the parts number you need, though you will have to determine if you have a type A or type B. The manual shows you how, as well as dis-assembly and re-assembly instructions. Definitely doable, if you take your time and handle carefully (with gloves, so as not to leave fingermarks).
