Blown HDMI Board on the Denon 3312CI and 4308CI - HDMI BOARD ISSUES

I've had the 4308 for a few years now have switched to the HDMI ports that still work. Got the 3312 some time afterwards and now none of the back HDMI ports work, only the front one so I sent it to Technetron Electronics Inc in New York, NY on 29th street. After 8 days they are still waiting for the HDMI board part. I asked the girl who answered the phone if they checked anything else and she said no.

Is there some form of general overview or checking that the authorized Denon repair person should be doing?

To me there is a REAL issue with the Denon HDMI borads. To have the 4308 and 3312 both blow their HDMI boards is just too much IMHO.

Wondering if others have same issues?

Oppo 93 and Panasonic 80

FYI: the 4308 sounds MUCH better than the 3312 for music and movies.
