tuner bleed through

Thread Starter
Hey - I have a Denon avr-3312ci and i can hear the tuner through the other sources
I searched to see if anyone else has this issue but didn't find a thread

Basically if the tuner is on a station, like HD radio station, then i can hear the music (its low and faint) in the background while on any other source

real annoying when trying to watch a tv show at low volumes

I turned the tuner source inout volume all the way down, that helped but didnt solve the issue

anyone heard of this?

Design flaw of Denon AVRs..
The Tuner section has the highest output level of any source and internally it bleeds through their semiconductor input switching IC. The correct design approach is to turn OFF the supply voltage to the Tuner section whenever any other source besides Tuner is selected..

Basic engineering 101...

Just my $0.02.. wink.gif

@ jkdavis12
I have the 3312 and I experience it once throughout 1 year of usage. It really freaked me out when I heard the radio tuner leakage. Luckily the problem was gone. Till today, it's working fine.

Welcome to AVS Forum.

Rather than posting non-descriptive posts, you would be better served posting in the Denon AVR-XX12 Owner's thread linked in my sig for questions regarding the 3312CI. Also review posts #3-6 in that thread for additional helpful information.
