Receiver for Arx Speakers (high current)

Thread Starter
I just purchased a 5.0 system from ARX with the A5's up front, A2b center, and A1b surrounds (still deciding on sub be leaning toward the new Rythmik fv12 coming out later this year). I talked to Jon Lane regarding a receiver, and he suggested something high current to properly drive the speakers, and mentioned specifically the brands Harmon Kardon, Onkyo, and NAD. I haven't really read anything great about the new Harmon Kardon (looked at 2650), and haven't looked much at Onkyo and NAD yet. I wanted to check here and see if I can get some good recommendations from some of you as well. Looking to spend around $500, but could go up a bit if need be.

Thanks for your help,

Zach

A couple hundred over your budget and doesn't have all the gee whiz features of most AVRs but it seem to have a very robust amp section.

That or the HK AVR 3600 which is still available new for less than $500.
