I have a Comcast Motorola STB/DVR connected to a Yamaha RX-V473 Receivers HDMI Input and then an HDMI (ARC) Output to Sharp Aquos Quattron HDMI (ARC) Input. HDMI Control is set to ON on the receiver and both the TV and Receiver have ARC enabled. Everything works great when operating on HD source but when I switch to a STD Def source the picture disrupts when I adjust the volume and the STD/DVR toggles between 480i and 1080i ultimately resting on 480i. The hole thing takes about 5-7 seconds before the picture is restored. I have found that I can correct this in the STB/DVR settings by simply changing the overide resolution to stretch or 480p or by changing Native settings, however when I power everything off again and turn it back on the settings revert to as they were before and the volume adjustment issue on Standard Def channels arises again. I have read similar posts on individuls having the same types of issues even with different components but am looking for updated solutions or work arounds to fully utilize the AV capability of my receiver and components?
