2000 Budget for 5.1 setup

I was able to talk a friend out of buying a $3k Bose system for his nearly finished basement TV/Rec room setup. As a result I've acquired the task of compiling them a 5.1 system for $2K or less. I'm trying to talk them into running a projector, but they are currently thinking 80" LED. Use will be 50% TV/50% Movies

Requirements:
*Small bookshelf speakers requested for all 5 speakers.
*I won't assemble crossovers because I'm lazy so assembled crossovers need to be an option
*Small size subwoofer so I'm thinking plate amplifier and dual opposed 12's because I know of no plate amps with HP's built in

So the million dollar question is buy prebuilt options like Klipsch reference series or go with something like Overnight Sensations and Dayton RS subs?

After your first sentence or two I already had overnight sensations in my head so it was funny to see you had thought of it already. 5 of those would be great.
By HP you meant high pass filter right? O-Audio plate amps have them...12, 16, 20 or 24hz if I remember correctly. I miss my 500w O-Audio plate amp.

I would go with the OAudio amp, but they are not available on their website anymore. I'm unaware of any other plate amps with a high pass.
