Jamo s426 hcs3 vs Polk monitor 60 setup

After reading these forums for a few days, I had my heart set on the jamo s606hcs3 speaker setup. I currently have klipsch quintet, onkyo 509, and bic f12 setup, and want to upgrade. Apparently the s 606 isn't for sale anymore, and Vanns says they aren't expecting more. How comparable is the s426? My other option is the polk monitor 60 iis, Csii center, and monitor 30Ss for the surrounds. The Jamos can be had for 250 shipped vs 450 for the polks. Which would you recommend?. This would be mainly for movies.

s606 is better than s426 and the s426 is not worth the $399 price Vanns is charging. You can find it under $200 elsewhere, currently Fry's stores sell the s426 for $150. In store only, not online.

Seems like the Jamo S606 has been on sale for two years or more at that price. I guess it finally had to end. frown.gif

I would advise you to go to Sears and listen to the Energy EF-500 which are exactly the same as the Jamo s426. They just slapped an Energy label on them.

If you like the way they sound better than the Polk Monitor 60's then you know which ones to order from Newegg. Best Buy sells the Tsi400 which is the same as a Monitor 60 in a newer cabinet.

Listen to both and then make a decision.
