Speakers for Denon AVR 1912

Which speakers sound best with the denon AVR 1912? I have a small set up of 18' by 10' and have a budget of $1250 for speakers alone. rolleyes.gif

Well, any speakers will sound just as good with the Denon 1912 as most any other receiver. It's other factors that influence what could be best for you.

How big is your room? What are your listening preferences (music, movies, gaming)? And any size or setup restrictions?

Hi,

I am looking at a 5.1 to begin with and later upgrading it to a 7.1. My preference in movies.

I have often heard that some speakers sound better with certain receivers and hence i asked the question. rolleyes.gif

Those are all good brands. If you can listen to them locally, that's a good idea.

NHT is a well known brand that I think ships internationally.

Paradigm has some decent stuff - I do not know the prices in India.
Also, find some local places to audition, and see what you like best.
You may find, that the Klipsch sound is for you.

Okay! So after much research i have narrowed it down to Paradigm Monitor 7, V7 and KEFs Q500 as the pair of front speakers to consider. Both are similarly priced in India so not much to decide over there. Please suggest which is going to be a better buy, considering i am going to listen to a decent amount of music too.

Can you listen to any of those 2 brands over there before purchase? If so take some of your music and demo the speakers. Pick the winner by deciding whicn one sounds best to you.

I like the 4 driver configuration of the KEF q500 but that doesn't automatically mean it sounds better than the Paradigm. I haven't heard either speaker.

Auditioned the speakers yesterday and decided to go ahead with the KEFs. They both sound similar with very little to choose from. The KEFs were a bit cheaper in comparison to the Paradigm.
