I just noticed a thread in "AVS Forum Community News" area of the forum that, like last year, there will be an AVS Forum party on Friday evening, starting a 7pm at "Tavern on South". HERE is the link to the other thread with all of the info.

I've started this new thread just to call your attention to the party plans.

Its a fair walk from the convention center and probably best reached by a shared cab ride after the show closes on Friday night for the day. If I remember correctly there is also a free beer party on the floor site hosted by several exhibitors after the show closes for the day so one can get a pleasant buzz on for free before the AV Science Forum party starts..

It is not that bad. It is just a little more difficult after walking the show floor all day.
