I have this sub right now and would like to build a same size so I will have 2nd sub. This will be my first build please show me where to get the parts. I have read many thread on DIY woofer but still need more help smile.gif

What tools and wood do I need to get to build a same sub like this one. THanks in advance.

I doubt you'll be able to build the same sub. The driver and amp are proprietary to Axiom, so I don't know if you can buy those anywhere.

Better to try to build two matching diy subs that approximate the gross capabilities of that sub. When I read their writeup it sounds like they use some dsp and magic pixie dust (cabinet/driver specific eq and other processing) which you won't be able to exactly duplicate.

The good news is that building two isn't twice as hard or expensive as building one. It is twice as rewarding though... smile.gif

that's no problem , I just want the same size because of my living room. may be 17Wx17Hx17D, a little bigger is fine. Can you show me where to get the speaker and such?

My budget to build is around $600-$800. but i still need to buy all the tools and clamps I need. THanks

Hard to beat this price/performance.

Sealed not ported, but a 15" driver.

All you would need is a few clamps to do each panel one at a time. The glue would only need to be clamped for about an hour before you could move to the next panel.

Just ask Eric if he can cut a hole for that specific amp

Thank you! cptomes and Jay1. I will look hard one this 2 subs. I lean forward to cptomes recommendation due to the size of the sub. Again, thank you, i feel more comfortable now after both of ur suggestion. Thanks

what do you think about this one? http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=300-762&scqty=1

because it is almost the same size with my current sub. Thanks

Unless your room is really small, you're going to want sealed sub with boost on the low end. Larger is better when it comes to subs, which is why my original rec was a couple inches bigger with a 15". If you're really strict with the size, this will have a stronger low end then the dayton kit.

You can use the titanic 12" driver, DVC 12", or the RS12 HO with that cabinet and amp.
