Receiver front wide speaker terminal question / Help

Hello,

I am planning to buy a new receiver soon, probably the Pioneer Elite SC-65. Can I use the front wide speakers terminal to place two more speakers in the front? The receiver will drive the front and wide as an "A + B" speakers?

Still I'm not clear in what configuration the sound from the speaker B terminals will be the same as the sound from the A speaker terminals without down mixing the multichannel sources to 2 channels. I want to have 4 front speakers with equal power (watts) from the receiver. Can this be possible?

Yes. Set the front to bi-amp. That is true speaker A+B these days.

AFAIK all A ad B speaker terminals are sim[;y two different connections to the same amps. So your two left front speakers will get the exact same signal. The connections are parallel, so you may overtax your amps by attaching a total impedance below their minima. If they are in the same space the dueling speakers will cause frequency response anomalies.

Although generally true in the case of AVRs with dedicated "Front B" speaker posts, in the case of AVRs that have "assignable" Front B speaker posts (eg. Denon 7.1 AVRs), they are generally powered by their own amp, which is also likely the case here as well considering the SC-65 is a 9.2 AVR.
