Do any 2012 Plasmas have rising blacks?

Like the title states, do any Panasonic, Samsung, or LG plasmas this year have rising blacks? If so, which makes/models and over what number of hours/% decrease in on/off contrast ratio?

There hasn't been any long term reports for the 2012 models, but the 2011 models were more or less free from rising blacks. I expect the 2012 models to be fine as well.

late edit: n/m, there hasn't really been any long term data for the 2011 models either. Cnet is the only site/person that seems to be tracking this. The Panasonic plasmas are the only ones that seem to have dropped and then leveled off, however they have only tested to the 2000-3000hr mark.

that's good to know... next time someone in the LCD forum states a con of (current) plasma tech being rising blacks, I can correct them smile.gif

FWIW, I've been keeping up with the Panny GT30 thread ( over 4000 posts to date) since I got mine last September and there have been no complaints on rising black levels. Definitely a non- issue on the 2011 30 series panels. The major issue with these panels is floating brightness which Panasonic fixed last October and is fixed in the field under warranty with either an A-Board replacement or reflashing the boards EPROM.
