So, i have been using this tv for a while I only really play xbox on it but I cant seem to find the right picture settings to make it look really good. I have tried dynamic but it has weird pixalted edges around letters and the colors arnt great, and I have tried the other ones to. So if someone could tell me what picture mode and settings are the best for gaming I would be very happy smile.gif

EDIT- How do people get there cell light up to 20? Mine only goes to 10 I would really love it to go that high so if you know why please tell me that on your post.

Thanks

The Xbox 360 will never look sharp because the GUI isn't 1080p - a few of the games are, but only a few. You got a PS3 to test with? The OS on that is 1080p and is used by many as a benchmark for sharpness and clarity. The games are a whole other story, of course.

All cell light does is brighten the image up which is rarely a good thing for people that want accurate good looking colors...having it calibrated will get you the best avaibile picture

It's better to keep it at 20 and adjust Brightness and Contrast.
There was a post from a tech who works for Samsung
stating that the Cell Light is bogus and should be at max = 20 because it's a carry over
from their LCD/LED sets menu, and Samsung did not want to change the menu for the plasmas.

He also said the Sharpness is bogus and should be turned off = 0.
I was skeptical but after a few weeks of dialing it down from 20 to 10 then 5 to 0
I understand he was right that it adds artifacts.
Look close at the screen at flat edges at an angle then adjust Sharpness up and down.
You will see it adds adds contrast = ringing (stair steps) to the edges.
0 Sharpness does take a little getting used to so give it time.
