7.2 to 9.2 receiver?

Hi,

My system at this moment has:

- Pioneer VSX-9040 receiver
- Emotiva UPA-7 amp
- Def Tech (7) speakers connected to the amp

I just acquired a pair of MGG speakers and wanted to connect all together.

Should I look for Yahama Adventage 2010 / Pioneer SC-65 or go for a 2-channel amp like Crown or Behringer. If I go for the single amp, how do I hook them together?

Thanks.

The VSX-9040 is a 7.1 AVR with no expansion capability beyond that so to go to 9.1 you would need to either use a 9.1 capable AVR like the one's you have listed (as well as the Denon 4311CI), or a 7.1 AVR that is expandable to 9.1 with an external 2CH amp (eg. Onkyo 818).
