Cannot access server when connected to Powerline Adapter.

I recently got some powerline adapters to connect my iMac to a wired network in the next room. But now I am not able to connect to my freenas that is connected directly to the router. It works over wifi but not through the powerline adapter. My setup is below

Freenas -> Netgear WNDR3700v1

iMac -> Zyxel PLA4205 -> Zyxel PLA4205 -> WNDR3700

What are your ethernet settings on your iMac, is it configured to use DHCP? (System Preferences, Network, Ethernet)

Does your iMac at least recognize it's got an ethernet cable plugged in? I assume you already tried running a cable direct instead of through the Zyxel to see if you still have issues?
