Might be a dumb question but can attaching these led lights to the back of a plasma TV cause the panel to go bad?

Another dumb question. Why would you want to attach lights that change colors behind your tv? Bias lighting is supposed to be as close to 6500k as possible on a neutral wall.

You can leave them on a single color. The white looks pretty subtle. Changing colors are nice when playing music.

True. But if you want a bias light (single color) the LEDs aren't going to produce anywhere the proper temperature and not even close to a CFI of 90 or greater.

I'm sure you are right. I was not looking for bias lighting when I bought that. Just some accent lighting/color for the media area. Mostly for music when the TV is off or when I have ambient programming on while listening to music.

People seem to like it and it does not distract from the TV when in use IMO.
