Can see and add devices but can't control them.

Hello,

I have an Direct TV HR22 hooked up via cat 6, a Pioneer VSX-45 hooked up via serial. I have added the devices. I have added what i feel like is correct functions but I can't seem to get any response from any device. I have reset modem-router, switch, dvr, etc. Still no luck. Gotta be something simple. Also does anyone know which one to pick from Pioneer for the 45vsx as it's an older unit? Thanks in advance.

It would be helpful if you mentioned exactly what it is that you're trying to program.

Trying to turn any of the units on, or do anything. Can't get any response from either unit. Tried changing delay and also sending info twice to the units.

We really need to know what hardware/software/device you are using to send the commands. Then, you need to tackle one device at a time. Have you used RS232 before, are you certain the wiring and port speeds are correct? We really need a lot more detail.
