I have a router coming and my old firewall/gateway software does support DHCP. My network goes back to OS/2 and is extremely secure.

There's nothing insecure about DHCP if you do it right. Certainly less worry than running an extremely old firewall, which likely has several vulnerabilities using older protocols.

Came here to research difference of Ceton vs. SD and lol'd when I read the above. So true.
