i would be in also as long as there was enough time between games... trying to get a game in every two days is too much for me....

Any impressions on the game? I just picked it up on an impulse buy...haven't played since '10, but this was the first one that looked like it actually has some changes.

I've only played one game so far, but I can say that the physics engine makes a difference and right now, I think it's a good difference. I haven't had a LB jump 10 feet straight in the air from a stand still and intercept a pass yet, so that's a plus. Passing seems more difficult, but I haven't played a Madden since '10 either so that may be rust.

My last Madden was '10 as well, must've been a good time to take a break from the series. I did play one game last night as well. Overall, I liked it a lot. Felt less "clunky" than what I remember, movements were crsip, fast. Once I figured out which "pre-snap" menus to hide, etc., I was able to get the controls back to what I know; default is having this pre-snap menu you have to click first, before you do an audible, d-line shift, etc.

How many do we need to get the league going?

I got a quick game in last night and it definitely feels like an improvement over the last few that I've played. I agree that it felt less 'clunky' and a lot more fluid - seemed faster too, though it may just be because I hadn't played in ages. I was using the Pats and didn't have any issues passing, but I couldn't get a running game going - could be due to Ridley, but the game moved so fast I was having a hard time finding and hitting the holes. Think I just need some more practice, but overall this seems like more of an update than prior games where it felt just the rosters were being updated.

It seems like some of the movements are a little wonky. For instance, sometimes when you are tackled and you are about to get up, you just fall for no reason, especially after the kickoff. Sometimes the animation looks clumsy. I guess it's the new physics engine. More the most part it looks better and it feels a little bit better though IMO.

First Madden purchase for me too since the Drew Brees cover.

Shizelbs is my gamertag for league purposes.

I like the game but LOATHE the connected careers. I really want my franchise back. Also, I'm not even to the playoffs yet and have heard everything Sims and Nance have said about 300x.

Anyone miss ESPN 2K5? smile.gif I played last night with updated rosters. I forgot how much fun this game was, and how well the presentation was done.

Presentation was incredible - really miss the playcalling and highlights on the halftime show. Amazing that Madden still can't come close 8 years later.

I enjoy the new Madden, but I only play a game here and there - haven't even started a franchise yet. I think it's improved over prior years, but it still has the same old Madden feel to it and it just doesn't excite me. It's still a blah game with improved gameplay. Wish MS could hire the folks that make MLB The Show on PS3 for a new 1st party football game - those guys get it. Think that's the only way around licensing.
