Looking for Panasonic Pedestal Stand from 2008 50" Plasma. Help!

Hi guys,

I've had our TH-50PH10UKA mounted to our living room wall for the past 4 years. Now we are going to be moving to a new house soon and I'll need find a pedestal stand for it since our new room configuration will put the plasma in the corner and I'm not a big fan of corner wall mount arms. I've been looking for the stand everywhere for this monitor and it appears it may be discontinued?? Can someone please help track one down or know if there is any other stand that will work. The newer "20" model won't work because the pins are too close together. I believe the older model that fits my plasma is TY-ST08-K/S. Any help would be appreciated. I still love my Panny and don't want to get rid of it!! Thanks!!!

According to these Panasonic documents, you need the TY-ST07-K or TY-ST08-K with the 26.9 inch spacing.

They appear to be no longer available from Panasonic, leaving the sellers to price gouge. On eBay, TY-ST07-K is $418, and TY-ST08-K is $473. If you try Amazon, it is $1000 !!

Keep searching, and you might find one less expensive.

Wow! That's depressing. I'm hoping there is an alternative solution out there or I can find one in good condition used.

Personally i'd just build a simple stand out of steel. It just has to have two uprights to bolt the TV to (maybe use 1" angle iron), then a base to keep it from tipping over (could be made of wood) and 90 degree brackets to attach the uprights to the base (maybe a pair of heavy duty shelf brackets). Then paint the whole thing satin black. You could do it for less than $20
