LG HX300G beginning to fail

I have an LG HX300G that has only a few tens of hours on it and it appears to be failing. A portion of the display has gone to a spotted gray along one side. I am guessing that the mirror array has begun to fail for some reason - is there any way that this can be repaired or the mirror "module" could be replaced cost effectively - or is it pretty much a wasted exercise? I likely have fewer than 100 hours on the machine as I use it for traveling presentations a few times a year.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
