Hello everyone,
I have a three way speaker not a DIY but I am repairing it., I need two new surrounds on the midrange drivers. They seemed to go from okay, to gone in like a week... anyway I have the new surrounds kit coming in the mail now. So to prevent any damage to the speaker I unplugged the midrange but have continued to use the rest of the speaker. So besides the big dip in the midrange will this effect the speaker in a negative way? I don't know exactly what it would do but that's why I am asking those who build and know speakers inside and out.
