Only way to avoid that is to buy everything with cash or only buy on the used market (even then, it depends on where online. Amazon tracks everything.)

Yep and he already says he has a Fire and movies on it. Amazon knows what your watching!!! biggrin.gif

your screen is not actual 52" either. Its probably like 51.75.

Sorry I have a REAL 100" Screen...LOL
and a projector
and 7.1
and over 200 BDs (more on the way)
my theater seating is reclining sofa
Xboxs
60" plasma
3d HDTV
oh my son has 50" HDTV blu-ray with streaming and 5.1 (btw hes 12)

How about getting some real subwoofer(s)? One setup for you, and one setup for your son. Much more impressive than 10 TB of hard drives!

I do love Amazon's recommendation algorithm. It gloms onto anything you buy.

"I see you just bought Sherlock season one on blu-ray. Would you like to buy one of these blu-ray players?"

No thanks, Amazon, I'm good with the one I bought from you earlier this year. tongue.gif

I also like it when it makes recommendations for a product you just bought. "I see you just bought a monitor arm. Would you like another monitor arm?"

Crazy.

Beats me!

I have a 58" PDP 3DTV in the living room. My son has the older 50" PDP HDTV in his room which replaced the old 30" tube HDTV which is now in the closet. I refuse to throw it out and can't seem to sell it to anyone.

the average consumer does not have a HTPC so it is offtopic to talk about it.

I don't have a HTPC, but I do use my PC to record and edit movies that I record off of cable.

For that matter, my PC can not play a bluray disc either. Never had to need to either.

Better have your eyes checked. Where you sit doesn't change the size of your screen biggrin.gif

I was thinking about watching the movie Groundhog Day tonight, but I decided against it. It reminds me of where this thread is going!

LOL - no it doesn't. The size NEVER changes. Only the size of the image that you see changes based on how far away you sit. It's a 92" screen whether you sit 2 feet away or 20 feet away.
