I need some advise on choosing a 5.1 HTIB system. I am looking to spend around $400.00 and I am driving myself crazy trying to decide between Onkyo and Yamaha models. For the life of my I cannot make a decision between the Onkyo s3500, s5400, s5500 and the Yamaha YHT 597, 495 or 397.
As the Onkyo 5400 and 5500 are 7.1, I was only planning to use it as a 5.1.
The front USB port for Ipod was important to me which is why I was considering these models.
If anyone has any of these systems, your input would be most appreciated.
