ONKYO HT-S7409 keeping receiver and Upgrading speakers

I just recently bought the Onkyo HT-S7409 it is the 5.1 HTIB system but the receiver that came with it is the TX-NR609 so i am thinking about keeping the receiver and getting better speakers. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should get, it'll be used for maybe 60% movie watching and %40 music listening.I'm looking at about maybe $1000 budget for speakers.

You can score a great deal on some Boston acoustics at acessories4less.com right now. Pair of a360---$400 a225c---$99 c26---$200 that leaves 300 for a sub one from Bic maybe...

Thanks for the feedback these speakers look pretty good not so sure about the white, but the specs are better than what came with the receiver.

Pretty much anything is better than what comes with a receiver but those are particularly good!
