Need front speakers fro Pioneer SC-1526 (SC-55?)

I'm picking up a Pioneer SC-1526 this week. I think it's it's the Future Shop (Canada) version of last year's SC-55, but I may be wrong. If someone knows for sure, please let me know. The Future Shop page is here:

Right now I have an old pair of Audiosphere Research towers and a Radio Shack centre speaker that my ex bought for me. The centre sounds muddy to me & I know that I won`t be able to timbre match the towers, so I want to get new L-C-R speakers.
My room`s about 30x15` with an 8` ceiling. I`m running a 7.2 setup with Optimus LX-5's for the surrounds, a 10`` JBL sub & a 14`` Paradigm DSP-3600 sub. I like the LX-5`s but may replace them at some point as they don`t go too low. I mainly use it for movies, maybe 95% of the time.
I figured on spending about a grand for the receiver & $1500 for the speakers, but I went a bit over on the AVR, so I don`t mind going lower on the speakers. Since I`m in Canada, I can`t get brands like EMP or Aperion that don`t ship to Canada. I live near the border so I can take a drive over to pick some up if they`re not available over here, like the Andrew Jones Pioneers.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. That way I`ll know what to focus on while I`m auditioning & not waste time on other brands.

I'm sure you feel like it will be awesome to have a really pricey receiver, but you're going about building a system the wrong way. A $1000 spent on the speakers and sub will sound the same whether you get that receiver or a $500 receiver, but a $2000 set of speakers/sub will sound a heck of a lot better with a $500 receiver then what you're planning above.

You are taking one step forward, and 2 steps back

The Phase 2 Pioneer speakers are nice - however, there are better options in your budget,
and I would want something bigger than the Pioneer speakers in your size room.

I wasn't suggesting that I get the Pioneers, just that some brands are unavailable in Canada but I'm willing to cross the border if needed. Since the Pioneers aren't suitable, I won't bother crossing the border to listen to them. However, neither B&W of KEF, for example, aren't available around me, but if it's worth it, I'll make a trip, listen to them & buy them if I like them.
Any suggestions for around $1500 Cad for all 3?

How far do you sit back - and what is the volume level preference?

Some speaker brands to check under $2000 USA are PSB, KEF, Wharfedale

Maybe not my first choice - however go to Best Buy in Canada, and check out the
JBL Studio 190 tower speakers. Cheaper at Amazon in the USA

You also need to consider the size of your room, it is pretty big. You are going to need speakers capable of strong dynamic output. I'm not the best when it comes to Canada's prices, but just looking at your futurshop link, they have Polk RTi A9's for $400 ea. That is a really good deal on a very large, strong speaker.

Thanks for the responses.
I've got a PJ projecting on a 120" screen. The first sofa is about 10-12' away with another sofa on a pedestal behind that & then a bar top behind that. I'm replacing a Harman Kardan AVR 325 & I like my movies loud. I bought a 10" JBL sub, a PSW-10 I think, a while back & a 14" Paradigm DSP-3600 sub a couple years ago. It's plenty loud & low. I had to modify the door to the furnace room because it kept popping open.
Had never thought of Polk or the JBL 190's. I'll have to go listen to them. Home Theater Mag's review of the SC-57 said that the D3 amps have a dark tone & work best with bright speakers that don't roll of the top end. The Polks could be a good match.

If your PJ screen is acoustically transparent, placing a vertical speaker behind the screen that's identical to the L/R speakers would be ideal, like 3 RTi A9's up front for example.

Rats. Went online last night to order them & they were sold out. I'll have to keep my eyes open for another deal. A shop nearby sells those RTi9's for $1750 a pair.
The screen's not transparent & mounted against the outside wall. I've got the centre speaker hanging above it. People have said that it's easier to hear than below, & sitting at the bar top, your head's closer to the top.

Bought a pair of Pardigm Monitor 9 S7's and a C3 centre. They sounded pretty sweet in the shop. Just have to make some hangers so I can put the centre over the screen.

Three months later, what do you think of the Paradigm Monitor 9 S7's and the C3 Center? I'm looking for a new surround system (upgrading a Klipsch Quintet system with additional bipole sides) and I don't have a lot of choice of what I can listen to where I live. I've previously used the room for HT pretty much exclusively, but would like to start listening to music again in there.

I listened to the 9's yesterday and liked sound and the imaging. They're the best thing I've listened to in awhile, but that's not necessarily saying much because of my local choice. I wanted to go with some floorstanding speakers on the front. I've listened to Yamaha NS 555 ($200 each) which were surprisingly good and some Klipsch towers (possibly RF 82 II, $600 each, found the highs harsh) and Definitive Technology towers (possibly BP-8060 ST, $1000 each, found the highs lacking) I was disappointed with. I'm sorry I don't know the names/numbers of the Klipsch and Definitive Technology speakers for sure. My brother has some Aperion bookshelf fronts and a center he bought a few years ago. I'm not sure which ones and I've never listened to them. He's recommending Aperion as a good deal for the money. I've never heard his set, but I know he is very particular and has similar musical tastes to me.

I have a dedicated home theater room, 12' wide x 21' long with 9' ceilings, carpeted. Listening positions at 12' and 16 feet from the front. I have a Denon AVR 3310 receiver. My budget was about $3500 for a 7.1 system, but the Paradigm system I looked at would be about $4350 + tax, so maybe that's my new price point. I could have gotten into a whole Yamaha system (555's, 444, and 2 pairs of 333's, no sub yet) for $850 plus tax, $1050 if I bumped up to 777's on the front, which I read about after but couldn't listen to. Yamaha wasn't a brand I was considering before I started looking. Only the Paradigm Monitor system has sounded better. I wish there was a way to compare them side by side, but I can't. If I went with Aperion, I was thinking about the Intimus 5T Hybrid HT or Verus Forte Tower SD, just going by the website recommendations for a medium-size room.

Any recommendations anyone can give would be appreciated.
