Wilsonart DW or Spandex

So I am new to the projector world, and I have run into a snag. I built a new Wilsonart DW screen, fired up the new w7000 and holy hot spot! Did a little research and realized that I received the wrong product (glossy instead of matte). While I am waiting for the replacement, I thought about looking at the forums and discovered that the Wilsonart DW forums were about 6 years old (slaps forehead). So My question (humbly) for the group, how does spandex compare to wilsonart? I have a dark room, w7000 projector, 98" screen, etc. Since I only have the beautiful hot spot of death (looks great everywhere else) and need to rebuild anyways, I thought I would ask. Thanks in advance.

Why not paint upon it....if you already have it mounted to a Frame?

Spandex is a viable choice considering the BenQ has 2000 lumens and your Screen is only 98" diagonal. The Moleskin Silver matte would perform brilliantlly

If you don't have the WA-DW mounted..or have not started on a Frame, then the Spandex is all good, and the frame will not need to be nearly as robust (ie: expensive)

I thought about painting, but when I only read through 50 pages of the laminate thread, I missed the ones about glueing and warping, so I don't have the optimal surface for painting. I got lucky and get a second chance. I have a sample of spandex coming, and my replacement laminate. I also can't spend the estimated $200 for the paint job. At this point it's the already invested laminate, or about $40 in spandex. I am curious as what people prefer of the two when it comes to picture quality? I have looked into the paint and will keep that as an option down the road. Thanks for the help.

Paint would be well under $200...more like $120.00 w/Spray Gun included.

Spandex is great...but it has no real "image" flexibility beyond a certain range.

WA-DW has already shown it's tendency to H-S. Painting on it can give you a perfect match for the 7000.
