Wadia 170i

I am simply trying to enhance the sound quality of music played from my Ipod/Iphone through my system. Currently, my apple devices dock in a HK Bridge and I pray they will sound decent but I'm really sick of it...the sound is horrible.

My research has been focused on Cambridge and Wadia products. From my observation, the Wadia 170i seems like a good choice...all in one type of solution. If I opted for Cambridge, I would need a dock and the DAC Magic. Seems the Cambridge option would be a bit more $$$. Am I selling myself short with the Wadia 170i? Anyone used both and like one over the other? Other ideas in the $400.00 range that I am missing?

Much thanks for any info.

The pure i-20 is supposed to be a good option.

Really? Under a $100 and claimed to provide results as good as higher priced versions. I will give it a go. Thanks, Saeyedoc.

You're welcome. Since Logitech discontinued the Squeezebox yesterday, I've been researching ways to get decent sound in some other rooms. The peachtree integrateds with USB dac and ipod/ipad dock look good too.
With the Squeezebox server software and ipeng apps, you can run hi-res material from your server through the idevice into a dock.

The Peachtree gear looks really clean...as well, spendy. I would not mind adding one of their powered docks and some nice speakers to our front room.
