Best Processor

I am looking for a new processor for audio and video maybe. Budget is totally open but don't want to spend more than necessory. My speakers and such are high end and I have dedicated monoblocks all around. What is the killer processor these days?

Probably McIntosh. Or you could see what marantz puts on the table when their high end models come out. Onkyo pr5509 got good reviews but you would have to import that.

butter and jelly please.

Denon AVP + XT32 upgrade. Very state of the art, very good sound.

Bryston SP3 unless you have a preamp with HT bypass (e.g. Parasound JC2 w/HT bypass or P7).

+ 1 on the Bryston SP3 - but remember doesn't process video, just passes HDMI.

Anthem D2v with ARC. The above don't even come close.

In what way is the D2v not a direct competitor to the Denon AVP?

What equipment DO you have so we know what to consider for integration

Do you want any audio equalization facilities? If so, how much tweaking control do you desire: a lot, a little, none?

Do you want video processing or just switching?

Do you want support for height outputs from any of DSX, PLIIz, or Neo:X?

The answers to these questions will largely determine your options.
