T2 is just a quick "small update" to earn back the investment costs of T1.
I think T3 will be totally redesigned back as the former glasstron types.
I think there is still market for these 2D/3D videoglasses and the "cheap low res" chinese variants of will properly upgrades within 10yrs to 3D hi-res.
Epson Moverio BT-100, "expensive" crap stand alone android only, mid res 3D videoglasses with projection LCD!, is the only other brand trying to step in.
Will see if T3 over 3yrs got a properly comfortable full hd redesign!, will get a T2 if the price comes around 500 USD.
My greeting to all on Christmas
I have been experimenting with T2 for quite sometime now
Have mastered the art of mounting it on - once it's mounted slightly tight i does not fall off / slide but yes the optics 'd be improved as the viewing angle in VERY small , need to look right on to get the screen clear from edge to edge so sweet spot is definitely there and [very small] / takes some patience to achieve.
Being front heavy - it puts pressure on the forehead so frequent breaks are ok
Configured this to work with my nvidia laptop after downloading the nvidia 310.33 win 7 64 bit driver to play the blu-ray iso via powerdvd and it worked great after some hiccups [driver issues]
3d is quite good but the pop factor is not that apparent as in the shutter type 3D led TV technology .
But given the ergonomic issues - for diehard 3D fans - 40-65' inchers 3D led TVs will be better anytime [active shutter tech].
But the lack of good 3D content is still an issue for major investment in large 3D TVs for me atm.
over all - i am happy with this device
pros :
portable ,great display quality
2D and 3D work great [pop factor not so good]
private entertainment
cons
already ppl know it's imperfections
suggestions :
Make it 1080p and change form-factor to make it light and improve optics to eliminate "Sweet spot", make it usb powered
Final word :
HMZ-T2 rules , forget smd st1080 , moverio bt-100 etc this device is the best - if they decimate the imperfections [already discussed] then this will be the 'Killer HMD'
Now i do not have to run after every new HMD in the market and wait for T3 with improvements done as suggested till then T2 is a nice companion.
Time to put my old school HMDs to auction on ebay and recover some money i'd invested a long time ago

cheers to all
