One of the problem I'm now having is that it keeps moving down slightly, so I lose the top part of the screen, having to keep pushing it up.

That's a problem I had until I invested in an amazing recliner. Try it lying down. Honestly. You will be so comfortable, and have such a clear picture that you could use it for hours and doze off. smile.gif

There is no international version of the HMZ-T2. Sounds like Yodobashi was trying to fool you and get some profit. They are doing the same here in Fukuoka where I live at Yodobashi, telling people the "international HMZ-T2 works on worldwide voltage" it's a bunch of BS and I told the sales guy all T2's will work fine. I have taken my Japanese T2 to the USA many times and never have problems using it for hours and hours there.

Anyways, on my site we are still selling them brand new with a 1 year warranty or 3 year warranty. Also have a version that includes my comfort cushion pads limited set and a free movie.

Not 100percent happy with the Sony T2 surround effect, i jumped in n orderd a set of an Sony MDR-DS7500 Wireless Digital Surround Headphones System thats 7.1 lossless pluss has a hdmi spliter feature cool.gif Hopfully those will give me more of the cinema exsperience im after in sound aswell. Only out in japan so its a import that will take prob sum time 2 arrive cool.gif

I thought T2 also had lossless support, having only HDMI inputs...Are you sure about this?

Anyway, please share your impressions when you have it, i'm interested in these as well. I'm also curious if the hdmi switch plays well with T2's HDMI passthrough.

Will give feed back on how or if that works and ill compare the sound vs what the T2 does
Will take a while to get it tho,,, delivery Estimate: Thursday May 9, 2013 - Friday May 24, 2013 by 8:00pm

Darbee is due to arrive to morrow that i miss using on it
post #966 of 1138
Darbbe hooked up and it does its magic cool.gif looks way clearer again... A must with any T2

Edit Made a simple head band using a wide flexible fabric cool.gif Since its flexible it follows the head curve well and seems to take most of the weight of the forhead and makes the t2 more stabile infront of the eyes.

This inspired me and i could just adjust it to the lengt i needed

I was at the Sony building in Ginza and the reps there also showed me the different specs and pricing for the "domestic" and "international" version.

Based on the info here, I bought the "Japan" version but even though I've seen many confirmations that it will work on 220v, I have only used it once and used a transformer just to be safe.

Sorry, not to attack you, but posts like these are not helping to clarify the confusion.

The US uses the same voltage as Japan so the change in country means nothing technically.

This post clarifies things considerably.

YES! YES! YES!

Missed the delivery at 7:50 this morning. Stopped by the post office three times and finally got it right as they closed. One of the drivers brought it back right in time.

Tried it out with a movie on plex. Initial impression = awesome! At the bar now but can't wait to try it in 3D later tonight. Doom 3 BFG is downloading right now.

Just wondering based on the one in-between line of text on top of the product box and the markings on the packing box itself, did you order this from Japan ?

If you did and you dont reside in Japan, pls advise on how much u paid and how u ordered it ?

Thanks.

Just as an FYI, it looks like the HTZ-T1 has been discontinued in the US and no T2 in sight!
This is exactly what I has read before, no T2 for the US.....oh well, maybe directly T3!!??!?

Should I bother with the online registration? The paper leaflet with registration numbers is full of Japanese that I don't understand.

Was Tenso the forwarding service you used?

The seller I used was "GREAT WASABI MATCHA JAPAN". They were quick to answer initial questions and shipped via EMS, which took just under a week.

Anyone else noticed that the HMZ T2 has a light bar just like the PS4 controller?

Hopefully this will lead to decent integration with the next gen console. After playing GT5 tonight on my HMZ I think it would be sweet if Poliphony could add head tracking to GT6.

Thoughts on the coincidence anyone?

The papers inside your box are for the warranty. I doubt the buyer you bought it from will give you the one year warranty for it.

On my site when someone buys the HMZ, we keep the warranty papers and if any thing goes wrong can have it fixed or replaced for the customer. We also offer a 3 year extended warranty from Sony.
I also have the HMZ-T2 on my site for $800, price includes EMS shipping and 1 year warranty for defects. For an extra $60 can be extended to 3 years.

Or $895 and comes with our limited edition cushion pads, pitch black light blocker and a free movie. Also with EMS shipping and warranty.

My HMZ-T2 is plugged to my PC. In the display advanced settings, under monitor tab screen refresh rates, should I select 23 hertz or 24 hertz? I use it mainly for movies.
I tried setting 23 and 24...but it's flickering. Finally leave it at default 60 hertz.

One last question

At that price I assume you didnt get taxed on it locally but was there a customs form marked with the full price of the item on top of the box that they ignored or did you specifically tell the store to mark it a certain way ?

I'm in a bind. Just bought the HMZ-T2 because I've sold my entire home cinema pending a move to Japan. I was happy with the picture except for the bluriness at the edges but my forehead just can't take the weight. It's hard to read a 33 pages thread when I'm so busy atm, any hints of making it better would be awesome. I am considering returning it, but I need to decide rather soon if I want to do that. I didn't actually want to buy it just yet but it was like the last one available in Sweden, they are sold out and doesn't seem like vendors will take in any more.

Is Blazin3D the way to go if you want third part accessories?
