The video processing is not as good on the E550 as it is on the upper series 6500, 7000, 8000. Images are not as sharp, and the glossy screen is subject to glare. And the 60E550 uses a pentile screen, which is considered inferior to the other models. For a 60", I would choose either E6500, or Panasonic U50, UT50, or ST50 depending upon budget.

Both the 60E530 and 60U50 are $999 right now, so I would look at those two. And HHG has been offering the LG 60PA5500 for $899, which is supposedly basically the same as the LG PA6500. Somethings you may want to look at.

We have had ours for about 3 weeks now and it is much better than our old 58B650. We loved the B650 and had complaints about it at all. The 3D is stunning to say the least. We even went out and rebought Transformers: Dark of the Moon just to watch it in 3D. The glare is highly overblown. We have 2 patio doors and 2 windows in our living room and haven't noticed the glare at all. It's there if you look for it, but if you just sit back and enjoy what's on you don't see it. It also had zero buzz, not even a hum out of it.
