Trying to control my Sharp TV via IP

Hi, I'm new to this form smile.gif

I need some much needed help in trying to control my Sharp LED TV via the iPad. I have all my home automation set except for turning on and off my sharp tv without having to use the sharp remote. I just want one iPad sitting next to my couch without any additional remotes.

Obviously Sharp does not have an app where I can do that. I finally found an app called Mike's Remote that works fine when the TV is ON but when the TV is turned off, I cannot turn it on via this app, I guess because it's over IP.

I also tried to setup the Denon receiver so when the receiver is turned on, the TV turns on automatically as well but that doesn't seem to be working either.

How do I get over this huge hump?

My TV model is: LC-70LE845U

Thanks in advance.

When the TV is on, you need to send it the command "RSPW2 " (three spaces after the text). This turns off certain energy savings and allows the TV to interpret the IP power on command while in a standby state.

Thanks,

That works for my Sharp LC-60LE632U.
