Not a fan of the Fox Sports bug being used in the upper right corner of FX and FSN broadcasts.

I am a Dish customer and get all my locals from Dish HD in the Flint MI DMA.

I was impressed with the ND vs Navy quality on CBS. I also thought Penn State vs Ohio on ESPN, Northwestern vs Syracuse on ESPN2, and Miami vs Ohio State on BTN looked good. FX was ok too although I didn't spend much time watching because the games weren't good.

So far everything I have seen looked good so far this season until this Nebraska game on ABC. Everything looks soft except for closeups on players. The text on the ticker is blurry when it moves. I am no picture quality expert but ABC's Nebraska broadcast is clearly inferior to every other game I have seen including last nights Michigan State vs Boise State game on ESPN.

The audio and video of the Michigan/Alabama game on ABC tonight is outstanding!!! I've never really thought much of ABC's college football coverage...it was OK, but tonight it is spot on.

I've always felt that the reference standard for college football was CBS, especially on the audio side. I don't ever recall ABC having this audio mix before with the bands loud and clear in the surrounds. I don't have a rooting interest in either of these two teams but it's hard to turn the channel.

Nice job.

USC game on Fox looks super soft on the main game camera. I'm not sure if it's the local (DC) affiliate or what but it's not very pretty to look at.

The audio in the Bama/Michigan game from ABC is definitely better than their efforts from last year, but the video is the same sub-par quality dreck we've been putting up with for years. I simply don't get why the video is flat and washed out compared to the crisp efforts of Fox and CBS.

I hope the games I want to watch never show up on Fox. Their image quality on sports is so awful, even with NFL games.

I think tonight's games on FOX and ABC both look good and ABC does sound great in 5.1 tonight. I am blown away by the quality difference between tonight's ABC game and the afternoon Nebraska game. FOX looks good to me but doesn't sound as good as ABC.

PQ of HI @ USC on WNYW-DT FOX 5 (1 SD sub channel) OTA and on FIOS is horrible.
Motion artifacts and macroblocking on all player movement.
The man field cam is soft and looks 16:9 SD.
Cable cam PQ is edge enhanced..
The super wide shot from the blimp cam is all compression artifacts.

WABC-DT (1 HD and 1 SD sub channel) MI @ AL has better overall PQ.

How does FOX not have a closeup shot of newly acquired Erin Andrews, isn't that why they got her - to flaunt her?

The Alabama vs. Michigan on ABC HD looked and sounded amazing. Watched it OTA on WGXA in Macon. The Fox game didn't look as good as the ABC game. The Miami @ BC game on ABC HD also looked great.
