which tv do you suggest

I bought a 50 inch Panasonic Plasma HDTV back in 2004 and it still looks like it did when it was new. I play my Xbox 360 on it and games and movies look great on it. You won't have to worry about burn in.

As far as the LED I don't know to much about them. My mom bought a 42" Samsung LCD back in 2007 and my Plasma blows it way.

For 3D I would get the LG. I have an LCD Sony and an LG in the same room and both look great. Got rid of of a DLP and a rear projection TV. All of the new LED LCD models look much better than they did just a few years ago.

while LED is a LCD they are different. Also even with regular LCD technology has improved since 2007 you know. So 2007 LCD < 2012 LCD < 2012 LED

It's a misnomer to say that they're "different". I have a Sony XBR8, and the difference is just that the backlight is LED - the actual LCD screen itself is a normal LCD panel, just lit by LEDs. What other difference do you think there is?

You quote me saying LED is a LCD then you ask that question. Do you actually READ before you post something?

I have a one year old Panny 65GT30 plasma and it is beautiful. I spent several months looking around and decided plasma was for me. I have different setting for day and night. The tv does not face any windows and that is the best for it. If you get a plasma, keep the reflections to a minimum. The LED's are better for a bright room with window reflections. I watch movies and fast action sporting events. I love this tv and have nothing bad to say about it. I also had it calibrated to get every ounce of performance out of it. At times it looks like I am looking out a window, as it is so clear. I am also on FIOS, and Netfix is great. Good luck with your search and go to a bunch of stores to see the tv's in person.
