Try posting a request for help / advice under an owners thread for the Manufacturer / Model that you own.
Get a copy of the AVS HD709 disk, and view the short videos on calibrating / adjusting a HDTV.
Recall that there is not only a Preferred Sequence to follow (ie: First Adjust THIS, Then Adjust THAT...), but also some advice that you might have to go back & re-check the early settings, as they can be impacted by the later ones.
Viewing environment / preferences may also play a role, but have read a number of posts from owners who have stated that they felt Post-Calibration settings were a bit "dim," UNTIL they had time to grow accustomed to them.
