Frustrated that I couldn't find either a YSP-4300 or YSP-3300 at any kind of discount, I took a flier and clicked on the link at post #47. To my astonishment, Cascio had the 4300 listed at $1,199.99, with only 8 left. When I put one in my shopping cart, that too worked find, though $71.00 in shipping was added.. I was extremely skeptical so I went to Cascio's website and, not surprisingly, could not find either the 4300 or 3300 listed. So I called them. Another surprise, they confirmed that they do have 8 in stock. I was still skeptical (you'd understand if you knew what I did for a living), but I went ahead ordered one over the phone after the rep agreed that shipping was FREE.

This all happened about a week ago. Since I remained doubtful that I would actually get a new YSP-4300 for $1,199.99, I held off posting here. Well, 30 minutes ago my new unopened YSP-4300 Sound Projector and wireless sub arrived via UPS.

Just before posting this, I clicked the post #47 link once again. As of 15 minutes ago, the link was reflecting 5 left. I have no idea whether or not I will fall in love with my first sound bar, but I thought I'd get the word out in case there are others out there who believe this to be a steal they would like to jump on.

Their website is not the greatest.Never seems to measure what they really have in stock. If you are a first time customer, place the order by phone. Otherwise they'll hold your order in limbo because of their security measures. Other than that, no complaints.

Hate to revive an old thread but...

Anyone have any comments about either the 3300 or the 4300 when receiving HDMI feed from a PC? I read on one of the lower end units (401) that there was issue with refresh rate.

I intend to finally get rid of my old Logitech 5.1 speaker system and get something that will make my 47LM7600 (LG) look good (and of course remove wires).

Sorry to revive the old thread, but the owners of the YSP 3300/4300 are you guys still happy with your YSP, did you sell it and get something else? if so what was the reason? I see that some of you were able to get these for around $1200 from interstate music, is that a legit site? did any of you return the soundbar for any reason?

I ordered a 4300 from Interstate. No problems. If you're a first time customer, place the order over the phone .

I was wondering the same thing. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Yamaha 3300 or a Polk 9000. Just can't decide at this point.

Good thread with plenty of good information.

For those of you that's looking to add bluetooth functions to the ysp4300 or ysp3300 you can use the yamaha yba-11 to add those functions even though I believe at these prices it should have been included

Do you mind sharing how much you paid for it?  I've been watching interstate for a few weeks (waiting to sell a house before taking the plunge).  Today I looked and the price has jumped from $1200 to $1800.  Today I'm rethinking that purchase.

Around $1250 if I remember right

I remember buying my ysp-3300 from Buy.com for $945 in February this year and later I bought the wireless transmitter for iPhone for another $50.

Got my YSP 3300 today, got it set up and watched some tv while I adjusted some of the settings, I then switched over to Apple TV and started a movie and the sound bar shutoff and I can't get it to start back up. When I plug it back in the light next to status is green and when I unplug the sound bar it takes a minute or two for the light to go away.

I was getting tv signal even when the sound bar was off but now I get nothing. I've had it unplugged for over 30 over 30 minutes at a time with no luck.

I have an older tivo HD with a brand new mono price HDMI cord going to the sound bar and the same type of cord going to my 6 year old sharp aquos tv front the sound bar.

Looked through here and avfourms with no good answers. I'm going to bed now, we'll see if things reset themselves in the morning.

I need to replace a YSP-4000 that was stolen, and to tell the insurance company whether I'm pointing them at a YSP-4100 or YSP-4300 as a replacement.

Any suggestion which? Same list price; the 4100 has a lot more speakers it seems, while the 4300 adds 4K passthrough (maybe someday useful) and a wireless sub, for some things.
I thought the 4100 and 5100 were some of the best sound bars I heard, especially if you pair them with a good sub. The 4300 is not as good sounding IMHO and the included sub just doesn't compete wit a lot of other stand alone subs. The smaller form factor and cheaper price will make it desirable to many but for performance I'd go with the 4100 over it and add a good sub especially if you already had a 4000.

Thanks. I had the 4000, but it was still new in the box when stolen - I'm assuming I'm better off with the 4100 than trying to find an old 4000, right?
