You could try AudioGon. High traffic and they only charge $4.00 plus 2% of the sale - and you don't have to use PayPal. If it doesn't sell, you are only out $4.00. Higher end stuff sells better though.

I won't even do an auction or sale without using Paypal. It's just so much easier using Paypal even with the extra fees. I wish I could sell my C200. I thouht the NTV550 would have been a good replacement but it isn't as solid with the playback like my C200 is when using full menus.

Since the last A-400 firmware things have really improved from BD ISO playback over the network. All the 2D BD ISOs I've messed with have not had any issues over SAMBA. Although my 3D BD ISOs over Sama are hit or miss, but better than before. Playing from a local USB drive though my 3D BD ISOs have played back fine with this firmware.

I had a C200 for quite a while. Great player. It did everything I wanted and they fixed all the small things that affected me. The A400 is now very good with the Trendnet gigabit switch. Plays everything I need. Mind you, I don't use NMJ but rather Oversight and Eversion. Support for the A400 seems very good. The A400 has a great case, is totally quiet, nice PQ and it even has a rudimentary Plex app!

Is it worth going from a NTV 550 to the A400? I do want 3d but the other issues are freaking me out..
I stream everything over Gb Ethernet.

what is your main content? iso files? bdmv? mkv? With the last two firmwares lots of positive feedback, I dont use ISO/bdmv files mainly everything is in MKV and I never have a problem with the A400

What is the NTV550 not doing well for you?

It's working fine for local playback of my BD ISOs, but playback of ISOs over my network has not been reliable. The A400 plays back my network ISOs better than my NTV550. And my C200 is rock solid playing back the same ISOs that the NTV550 seems to have problems with. Plus the NTV550 doesn't have BD lite so there is no option of going straight to the movie when playing back and ISO. But I knew that when I purchased it. I mainly use it for local playback of BD ISOs when I'm at my GFs house. So for what I'm using it for it works fine. But I've had too many issues with playback over my local network to be able to use it at home instead of my C200, or even A400.

How responsive is the UI with the newest firmware? I heard reviews before saying the UI lagged bad when browsing large collections over the network.
I've thrown many many ISO and BDMV folders at the 550 and its basically handled them all. Where it hasn't handled them, I view it as a problem with the ripping tool (it seems all these devices and even the software players sometimes have problems), as usually ripping with a different tool provides a copy that a) works and b) is basically the same (i.e. m2ts files) but has differences in the jar files (i.e. the main place where things can choke it seems).

just my 2 cents.

Are you asking about the A400 or the device the prior poster was discussing?

Does the phone/tablet app allow browsing of folders from the NAS? I would want this option for access to my music as well as the database GUI.

Thanks.........

Anyone? If no one knows off the top of their head, anyone running the A-400 from NAS that can check the tablet/phone control for raw folder browsing for me? Pretty please?

I don't use a NAS nor the NMJ - I have 9 USB drives connected to mine along w/1 internal drive along with a 3TB drive inside my PC that's used to create my Jukebox using YAMJ.

I would greatly appreciate it. This is more for access to my music files than video, but seeing if access to the folders for either would answer the question. I would hate to buy it and be disappointed.

It looks like I can choose to browse over SAMBA or NFS. I can access the folders of the devices, but when I select a folder it comes up with some message about NMJ not being in the folder and to use the A400 to create it. So it looks like you are only browsing to find the NMJ database in a folder. Not to access individual files.

For the main/home page I find it responsive. The only time there's a 'lag' is if I go to firmware update.

I've read through all pages and still can't really find an answer to my question...should I buy the A-400? smile.gif

after the most recent firmwares it has gotten a lot better, what are your needs.
I am a Mac user (Mac mini, iPad, Airport Extreme, etc). Content is mostly MKV and FLAC. Not much 3D content at the moment. It needs to output high res audio (DTS-MA) over bitstream...my receiver will decode. I am hoping to use it like a mini-NAS.

I'm curious about the iPad app too...do you need the wi-fi dongle in order to use it?

Why would you go DUNE? the dune base 3d is taking the same beating the A400 did with the same exact bugs. Everyone on the avf is yelling the same stuff.

With most recent firmware A400 is better then it used to be. and seamless branching is almost perfect. and they have now added 3DRL to tag files to auto switch the eyes if needed for movies like rio 3d and the hobbit.

You need the wifi dongle if the A400 is not connected to the network via Ethernet cable. Are you looking to use airplay or any of that?
