AVS Forum Follow Us Contest: Win a Copy of 'Bond 50,' the Complete 23-disc James Bond Blu-ray Set

Well, Labor Day has come and gone, and that means summer is slowly slipping from our grasp. We thought it would be a good idea to ease the transition into autumn by offering AVS members a chance to win a copy of the 23-disc collection of every James Bond film on Blu-ray, Bond 50, which features a limited-edition hardcover book.

This set (with a retail value of $299.99) features all 22 James Bond films in their remastered entirety, including nine which have never seen a Blu-ray release before. This will keep you plenty busy as the months get colder! To enter, you just have to do the following:

1. Like us on Facebook (if you haven't already)

2. Click the Bond 50 app on our page and enter the contest between September 5 and September 21

Good luck!

Too bad you limited to those that wish to use the virus that is Facebook. It's an infectious disease. Their privacy policies are a joke, they are exploitative and I refuse to use it. Please allow the sane people to enter your contest too.

Te BSOD is a Microsoft product not a part of Facebook.

It will be a nice prize for someone I never get tired of watching the Bond films or listening to the music scores.

Quoted for truth.

While I agree with the anti-Facebook sentiments I have to disagree with the hijacking of the thread.

Someone at AVSF decided to start a contest to strengthen the status of AVSF which has it's own Facebook page. If you don't like FB don't use it. But also don't go after the organizers of the contest telling them they are evil. Tell them they need to create another contest for non-FB users. I doubt it will be able to generate the prize offered by this one.

I am in, give it to meeeee... I'm currently watching all the 007 flicks in order, thru Netflix, but not all of them are on Blu-Ray. Currently on Diamonds Are Forever (1971), the last with Sean Connery. This one and the one before it (On Her Majesty's Secret Service - George Lazenby) were both only available on DVD from Netflix. They still look great remastered, though.

Exactly! I have never clicked on a Facebook link and to this day I refuse to! Many a contest/deal/opportunity have been denied me because of this. Oh well, such is life you lemmings (grin).....

Cool. Better odds for the folks who aren't swayed by fear mongering!

Smart, judicious use of facebook has never adversely affected me.

Thanks for the great giveaway AVS!

I was more taken by the competition's / newsletter's phrase "This massive collection is the only 007 purchase you'll ever have to make...", juxtaposed by the article just 2 down on 4K: " but 4K is quickly becoming a reality, and the future looks more detailed than ever. Is 4K really the game-changer it claims to be?".

So this Blu Bond is the definitive be-all-end-all I'll ever have to make - at least until 4K comes out in a few years. We are all such amused to death suckers!

Not exactly. "Never Say Never Again" is not included since it is not part of the "series," being produced independently. You have to buy that one separately. eek.gif

Agree with the whole anti-Facebook movement. It is just a fad and will soon be gone. Its IPO was a joke and its stock has not done a thing since ('cept go down). With that said, it is really cool how generous AVSF is being. Bond 50 is a pretty pricy gift to be giving.

I just signed up. Wish me luck.

Hopefully I'll be the lucky winner.
