Could someone break down the new JVC projector line, when it becomes official.

Also curious if the Onkyo PR-SC5509 ever came to USA or remained European only, and if there's a PR-5510 and where they'll sell it.

TIA!

Looks like the big story this year is 4K. I'll make a prediction that next year the big story is 4K + 3D. Are there 4K LCoS projectors yet? Wonder when we'll ever see laser or the RED brand laser PJ. Or 4K OLED...

No problem. I'll buy two, one for each eye, to get 3D.

As for 84 inch LCD/LED 4K TVs or Monitors. It appears all of the vendors offering these are getting the panels from LG. So far I have seen announcements from LG, Sony and JVC with the Sony products being the most expensive. As for 4K projectors, the Sony VW1000 will be carried over and JVC has a new generation of their 4K-lite projectors using their eShift technique. I don't know if JVC has added a 4K signal input capability for the new models, of if they will only upscale regular HD (e.g., 1080p) sources like those current JVC projectors that are equipped with eShift. The least expensive JVC model with eShift in their new projector line up has an MSRP of $5K, or about 20% the price of Sony native 4K projector (VPL-VW1000).

My assumption that the VW1000 will carry over given that Sony does not appear to have put out any press statements to indicate there is a replacement model planned for the VW1000.

Ok ok, sorry I misunderstood the meaning of "carry over"...biggrin.gif

No, I don't believe BenQ is here.

Lots to see...the Sony 4K projector was beautiful.

It was nice to see the Darbee unit in person.

The new TiVo stream is a great advancement for them.

URC has a new line or PC programmable remotes (780, 920, 1200).

I didn't get a chance to stop at NAD but will try tomorrow.
