Hi all,
Long story short I was flooded due to Hurrican Issac. It took out most of my Media room
The only thing I have to work with is the Projector (720P it was scheduled for a upgrade but storm hit,) My fixed 102" screen, 37" TV/Monitor and my Computer. I have my 7.1 reciever but due to wires I think im going to try something different. Working with ~ 300 sq/feet 11.5x22.5 or so.

Everything else is gone below 6" (Pics in sig).
I think I will go with a red/burgundy color with the blue for two tone.
Thinking a Sound Bar and Sub woofer. Much easier to move if needed(never flooded in my area before) and less wires.
AV cabinet for Modem, Router, Battery backup.
New Desk, Bed, Carpet,

My goal it to make items MUCH easier to move at a moments notice or have it setting up higher then I did with previous items.
Make the look nicer then it was before with out going overboard. Wire the house ,since a lot will be tore up ,to rid myself of wirelss connections.

Getting Ideas for a budget. With no net access unless at work this may take a while. Cable modem was in the Media room.

Suggestions welcomed but I will try to keep is simple.

i am thinking tile floors. Anyone using tile?
I am not using tile, but I have a stained concrete floor in my media room and I assume the acoustics would be similar to tile. I actually measured the room with the concrete floor and with the floor covered in thick felt carpet padding and thick wool rugs and I could not meaure any significant difference (much to my surprise). But the room contains other dampening elements, and it's not square, so your results may vary depending on your room.

Thanks. I forgot about acoustics but it should not be all that bad.
Discovered (ok forgot) need a new door also. Thinking I will change out the Ceiling fan to match the room. As it stands floor will be Black , Walls Blue and I will control the color in the room with the furnishings.

Question of the day. Anyone using a Ductless AC/Heating unit? Trying to decide if I should make this part of my budget.

Computer desk recommendation. I would like a decent one made of metal or Resin im thining this time. Last one I love but made of particle board so trying something different. Something I can rise and use.

Due to room being mostly windows ductless AC unit is not fesible at this time. I think I need to wall up the left and right of my room, Maybe after the house has recovered. Still its something to look forward to.

Laying sheet rock and new Tile flow in a weeks time. Deciding on which colors to paint. Stay the same or 1 two tone look.

Water in the backyard

Water in house. Yes I saved the gamepod 1.5 Love that chair.

So it begins..again.

Sheet rock up. starting to get more ideas

Primed and ready to paint. Let's see what I can do with brick. I have hated the brick color for years.

Room Rebuilt for now. Next task (after finishing house) is to restock it.
Speakers, Computer desk, 1080p PJ, etc. All the little things that will make it a media room.

More to come in the future!

Replaced my ugly ceiling fan. Room should be up very soon, but thanks to work it will be a bit longer.

Went with the BIC FH56 Sound bar. Box was banged up but the bar is fine.

I forgot how much fun this is!
