Have a Samsung LED DLP HLT5687 for the past 4 years and a few months and after 11,000 hours of use, the red LED has went, at least that's what I think it is. Blue-Green hue, then the screen starts flickering every second in blue after the tv has been on for a few minutes. I was debating on replacing the LED but reading all the other things that can go wrong with these aging units, I think I'll just spring for a new tv altogether.
My question is, what's a closer match to the quality of DLP after all these years? Plasma or LED LCD HDTV? Want the same size point of 55-60 inches, I'm kind of interested in 3D but it's not a necessity.
