6way fiber optic input, 5.1/7.1 surround system

Hi,
I'm wondering could someone point me in the right direction regarding a piece of equipment that I'm looking for, what I need has to be able to do the following,

1, be a 5.1 or 7.1 surround system
2, be able to take atleast 6 fiber optic inputs,
3, be able to have a programmable delay, so I can audio sync it up with my tv
4, be able to accept pcm, dolby digital, dts.

I'm not interested in any other input ports, no hdmi, rca or whatever else is out there, in the sense that I dont want to be paying for ports I wont be using (unless I have no choice)

Does such a machine exist ?

Thanks
Dave.

it'll have to be an older receiver, maybe 5 years old or more to have 6 optical inputs.

None of you 6 devices has a digital coax output?

many thanks for the reply, I forgot about the coax, a number of my devices have them.

am I barking up the wrong tree here, ?? I'm starting to think I am
If i get a receiver that has hdmi ports and can work with dts and dolby, does it make the need for fiber optic redundant???, is there any point in using them?
I'm looking at the likes of the onkyo txnr717 or 609, they all seem to use the audio in the hdmi, the fiber optic is an after thought maybe ? .....

Every new HDMI receiver within the last 3-4 years or more can decode HDMI audio.

Why don't you list all of your devices and whether they are HDMI or not and we can go from there? Also list if they have optical or digital coax outputs.

This problem isn't that tough if you provide the right info.
