need help selecting a audio distribution set up .. looking at russound, xantech, niles, nuvo,...

Hello, this is my first post. I look for a simple audio distribution for a house with 6 zones. included is a living room theater which is one of the 6 zones, in stereo but really needed in, for example party mode, when all zones play the same thing.)

I'm doing all the wiring and setup myself, Ive done multi zone theater set up before ( nuvo, abus URC, harmony 1100s,) but not everything at once starting from scratch . please correct me if I'm wrong and feel free to make suggestions.

needs:
stability and ease of use
reasonable price ( would like to do it for 2-3 grand for main hardware components plus extras such as ipod dock or what ever)
I want wall mount control panel.
ipod dock for audio
the ability to Pandora and or other internet streaming audio content.
no need to do line code programing, gui based programing is fine.
would like to also have ipod control of the system/ receiver

I've been mostly looking at the Russound kti-c3 but looks like I would need the DMS-3 which gets a little pricy and the wall display is very limited unless it is a source from the dms-3 add on like ipod , not sure how it displays a stream like pandora.

I looked at the russound abus system but it is only a single source, and no wall plate source display other than volume and no display of what is being played. ( if I could piece it together, with different wall controls to change source on the receiver via IR repeater using the the receiver zone 2 and 3 from a wall plate but this might not be possible. thoughts?

looked at Niles but I don't like the need for proprietary extras fto extend the ipod dock , looks similar to the russound for more money

looked at Sonos but concerned about having to buy wireless control panels and the system, not to mention I question if it is the right thing for hardwired speakers

xantech - looks like some neat products but everything is piece meal and could end up being overly complex with little support.

I find it frustrating that most amps, (looking that the Onkyo TX-NR818 ) will pretty much do everything I want but no way to easily set it up with wall plates display metadata info from the receiver on a wall control panel. it is easy enough to do additional amps for extra zones so I guess my first question is if anyone knows of a AV receiver that be controlled and will display source and metadata on a wall control panel?

assuming this is not possible with a standard receiver and a third party wall mount control panel. what would you recommend. the house is a three bedroom apartment and is in the process of getting completely gutted so wiring is not a issue

Yes, what you want can be done with NuVo or Russound, but both systems will require their respective digital streamer/server products to get all of that functionality. Nuvo Essentia is probably the cheapest in those lineups (I think), but with the MPS4 will be above your budget. With either of those brands' systems, you can sync your music with the server, so you might find you don't need the iPod docks (although they're not the thing that breaks the budget, either) - and you can certainly add one later...
