50" - 60" Plasma with a shallow base (no deeper than 9.5")?

My Pioneer plasma just died and I am looking for a replacement to put on my mantle. The pioneer base was only 9.5" deep and fit perfectly. I cannot drill into the wall (rental), and so am limited to a set with a shallow base. Anyone know of a 50" or larger plasma (ST50, S7000, etc.) with an equally shallow base?

I think you need to go down to the 550 model with Samsung to get the better/smaller pedestal base, otherwise you get the big splayed feet version (13 plus inches on my PN59D8000). Don't pay attention to Panasonics...

Keep in mind that to get UL approval, TVs need to pass tip over tests and often that requires bigger bases because the TVs are top heavy.

Yet the smaller pedestal style stand is not only sturdier, its more attractive, too (I've had both).
